Jim has more than three decades of experience in brand building and product promotion for clients ranging from wine and spirits, power tools, food and candy and pet supplies. His expertise spans the spectrum of business-to-business and consumer public relations. The recipient of more than a dozen industry awards, Jim has developed a reputation for strategic and creative programming.
Experience
Jim served as partner and president of JSH&A Communications, a leading boutique agency known for brand marketing, which was acquired by LCWA in 2017. He spent twelve years at a global agency, rising to the level of senior vice president before leaving to join start-up JSH&A. Throughout his career he has written humorous columns for USA Today Weekend magazine and the Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine, where his essays ran regularly for three years.
Education
A native Chicagoan, Jim is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and attended the Iowa Writer’s Workshop at the University of Iowa.
