This week was all about spoiler alerts, scorned vampires and the gay/straight chicken debate. Following is a recap of some of our favorite stories from the past seven days, along with some updates from the social media front:
- Never Cheat on a Vampire: It is likely that nobody was happier about the constant coverage of the Olympics this week than Hollywood’s latest celebrity cheater, Kristin Stewart. Still, her armor definitely took a few PR chinks. In an effort to make lemonade from this infidelity, PR Insiders posted this lighthearted list of What PR Pros Can Learn from Kristen Stewart’s Momentary Indiscretion.
- Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road? No doubt to escape the bi-partisan battle surrounding Chick-fil-A! Public comments by company CEO Dan Cathy regarding his personal views on gay marriage sparked a firestorm of support and protest over whether to “Eat More Chikin’” or less. Matt Wilson captured the PR impacts of this debate nicely in a post this morning on Ragan.com.
