In the Mix…Fallen Firefighter Honored 60 Years Later

A fallen Chicago firefighter lie in an unmarked grave in Des Plaines for sixty years – until now. Late last month, Mount Emblem Cemetery of Elmhurst, the Chicago Fire Fighter’s Union, The Chicago Fire Department and All Saints Cemetery placed a permanent marker on the gravesite of Firefighter John Francis Minich, who died in a 1952 Chicago fire after rescuing
