Participating in industry trade shows offers businesses an opportunity to enhance their visibility and reputation while showcasing new products and services, generating leads, engaging with customers, and strengthening their brand presence. Our client, Latham, The Pool Company, recently exhibited at the International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo in Dallas, one of the largest trade shows for the industry, with over 400 exhibitors, and nearly 10,000 people in attendance. Latham showcased its new Plunge Pool collection, fiberglass pool models, and an update to its innovative Measure by Latham pool and liner measuring tool.
To maximize the company’s presence at the show, we issued press releases announcing the new products and technology that would be highlighted in the booth. Through proactive pre-show outreach, our team secured interest and hosted booth tours with every major pool industry publication at the show – a challenge, given that many publications were exhibiting at the show themselves vs. just attending.
We were thrilled to see that media shared our excitement for what’s new from Latham! The new Plunge Pool collection was particularly well received, with many editors confirming the growing popularity of this new category in light of decreasing lot sizes. The response to the Measure by Latham update was also very positive, with media noting how the technology will change the game for builders.
All in all, the in-person interaction allowed us to nurture and strengthen relationships with key members of the media. Our efforts also generated some great immediate coverage from outlets including Extreme How-To, PoolPro, Pool & Spa Marketing, and Landscape Management.
