Well, my colleague Matt was right! Last week he told us that people don’t really “get” PR, and this week a LinkedIn poll reports that PR is ranked as the number seven the most confusing profession. Let’s dispel some more industry misconceptions this week with my favorite finds.
- We manage social media channels. From Facebook to Twitter to Pinterest, and more, we write social media content and manage our client’s social platforms to garner attention from consumers. This week, we read about outside-the-box uses for Twitter, ways to use Instagram for business and fueling sales through Pinterest.
- We analyze consumer behavior. To boost our clients’ bottom lines – whether through sales, awareness, etc. – we keep a close eye on consumer behavior. This week, we took a look at why people do what they do on Facebook.
- We get our clients in the news. We work with magazine, newspaper, broadcast and online editors to tell them about the latest news from our clients that we think readers should know. This week, we dug into the editorial and advertising divide.
- We handle crises. If our clients are facing an issue that could affect their brand, we spring into action. This week we memorized 5 tips for communicating during a crisis.
