Trex’s “Deck”-ed Out Social Outlets

2013 was a big year for bolstering the company’s social media presence for Trex Company, the leading provider of wood-alternative decking and outdoor living products. From Facebook to Pinterest to HOUZZ, the LCWA team put significant manpower behind Trex’s social expansion and the results were a resounding success!
  • Facebook – By posting more engaging and inspirational images, promoting local Trex contractors and fostering relationships with influential followers, Trex Facebook page “Likes” increased by 89 percent in 2013. More importantly, the page garnered 124,000 engaged users and directed more than 3,000 consumers to Trex.com
  • PinterestTrex’s outdoor living photography is adored by homeowners from coast to coast, and Pinterest proved the perfect place to showcase these gorgeous photos. In addition, it served as an ideal spot to share inspiration for everything from dining al fresco to landscaping designs. By providing ideas for the deck and beyond, Trex’s Pinterest page directed nearly 1,000 homeowners to visit Trex.com for more information about the brand and its products.
  • HOUZZ Trex also joined the HOUZZ community in 2013 where it was able to reach and interact with millions of homeowners seeking home remodeling and design ideas. After just three months as a member of the site, Trex inspired thousands who added Trex images to their idea books more than 13,000 times.
