To inspire DIY-savvy homeowners, we coordinated a collaboration between our client Trex Company and two popular DIY influencers to highlight the company’s new Trex Enhance Deck Kit, exclusively available at Lowe’s.
The campaign featured Build & Create Home and She’s the Carpenter, two influencers with explosive TikTok followings comprising a combined audience of more than 2.2 million people! The two female contractors teamed up to tackle a deck build using materials from the new Trex Enhance Deck Kit. As the build began, both influencers teased their work via Instagram Stories, generating excitement about the partnership. After a slight delay in the building of the deck – thanks to an unprecedented snowstorm in Texas – both influencers posted three TikToks each, highlighting each stage of the deck build, from the substructure to the finished – and furnished – deck.
In addition to showing how to build the deck, the TikToks highlighted the perks of using the pre-packaged decking kit, touted the benefits of building with composite decking vs. wood, and showcased what the beautiful outcome the kit can create, especially once outfitted in outdoor furniture from Lowe’s. The results speak for themselves as this partnership generated a total of more than 1.2 million impressions for Trex and its valued retail partner Lowe’s, with a promotional value of more than $90,500, equating to a ROI of 134%! Making this partnership an even greater success, both influencers provided bonus deliverables that went beyond the contracts, providing Trex with additional exposure on their channels and more than 90 images with full usage rights!
