LCWA closed out 2021 with more awards on behalf of our clients First Alert and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). In the tenth year of the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) Best Practice awards program, LCWA was honored with four prizes for campaigns that showed strategic thinking, creative ideas and outstanding work.

First Alert Wins Consumer Communications Category

The First Alert “Be Ready for the Unexpected” campaign won gold in the Consumer Communications — Products category for its “Be Ready for the Unexpected” campaign. Launched in response to families sheltering in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign provided home safety guidance and support for consumers, including making sure homes were equipped to protect against an unexpected fire or carbon monoxide incident.

AASM Wins for Communications to Gen Z and Events

AASM’s Student Sleep Health Week campaign also brought in the gold, winning both the Events and Communications to Gen Z categories. The campaign also earned a silver award in the Integrated Campaigns category. Getting the right amount of sleep is crucial to students’ health and success, which is why this campaign virtually encouraged students, parents, coaches and teachers to have conversations about the importance of healthy sleep.

With three 1st place awards, LCWA was among the agencies winning the most golds this year, along with Media Profile in Toronto, Canada and OneMulti in Warsaw, Poland. It’s an honor to earn recognition by our peers in the PRGN. Congratulations to all of the winners of the Best Practice Awards!
